providing a showcase for the best

in contemporary British

and international poetry

Welcome to the on-line poetry magazine Antiphon.

Issue Two is now live!

Issue One has been moved to the Archive.

Advance Notice - Issue Three

We would like to give advance notice of Issue Three, to be published in early summer 2012.  As 2012 is the centenary of the birth of Alan Turing, famous for his work on computers and artificial intelligence, we thought it would be interesting to devote a section of the magazine to poems that consider the impact of modern technology on us and society.  Computers, phones, social networking, ebooks, robot vacuum cleaners - what effect do they have?

Call for Submissions

We are now reading submissions for Issue Three, including those around the theme of technology, but we're happy to consider any excellent work. Please see the Submissions page for guidelines.

Submissions to be made by the 19th May, please.

PLAYER: We're more of the love, blood and rhetoric school. Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see.
